The invitation with cachet.

An engraved invitation for every guest, one-tap replies, and a guest list that remembers who said yes and what they cannot eat, for the recurring gathering you host every season.

Our autumn supper, the one we look forward to all year.

What every guest opens: their own invitation, one tap to answer, no account.

The organizer's season

You host the same people four times a year. Your guest list should know them by now.

A forum dinner, a board retreat, a supper club that has met every month for six years. The list lives in a spreadsheet you exported from somewhere, the dietary notes live in your inbox, and the replies arrive by text, by email, and in a hallway conversation. Each season you rebuild the same list, chase the same five people, and ask the same member whether she still avoids shellfish.

Cachet Invite holds all of it in one place that remembers. Your list comes in from the file you already keep. Each guest opens an engraved invitation addressed to them by name and answers in one tap. What they tell you about what they can eat stays with your group, so the next gathering starts from a roster that already knows them, and you spend the week before the dinner on the dinner.

How it works

From the list you have to a full table, in four steps.

  1. Bring the list you already have

Upload the CSV or tab-separated export you already keep (a spreadsheet saved as CSV works): from Luma, Eventbrite, your association software, or the Google Sheet that has followed your group for years. Cachet Invite reads quoted commas, line breaks inside a cell, and byte-order marks, then proposes what each column holds. You see your own rows read that way and confirm every column before a single guest is created.

  2. Set the table

Name the gathering, sign it with your name, and add the dates, the venue, and a note in your own words. Lay out the shape of the evening one line at a time ("Fri 6pm, welcome dinner"), and choose what the invitation asks: anything a guest cannot eat, and whether they are bringing anyone.

  3. Send each guest their own invitation

Every guest gets a personal link to their own engraved invitation. Send it from your own email or messages, in your own voice. For email, Cachet Invite prepares a designed invitation email for each guest that you copy and paste straight into Gmail or Apple Mail, formatting included.

  4. Watch the replies arrive

Your organizer view counts who said yes, who can't make it, and who is still deciding, with the total at table once plus-ones are in. Dietary needs and notes land beside each name, and every unanswered guest shows whether their link has been opened. Print the door list on the night and export the roster whenever you like.

One tap

A guest answers, and your roster knows before you check.

Each reply lands on your organizer view the moment it is given, with the guest's dietary note and plus-ones beside their name and the counts at the top already updated. Here is a forum's autumn supper filling up, three replies in a row.

The invitation is what every guest opens, and the roster is your organizer view. Sample names.

For your guests

Stationery your guests can answer in one tap.

The invitation is the first thing your guests see of the gathering, so it is set like engraved stationery: a centered axis, letterspaced capitals, a gold hairline, and deep margins. It reads as composed for a 12-person board dinner and for a 140-person alumni evening, and it looks finished with words alone, so every gathering is ready the moment you write it.

Addressed to them by name

Each invitation opens with "A private invitation for" and the guest's own name, then who convened it. The link belongs to that one guest and opens their invitation directly.

One tap to answer

Two buttons: I'll be there, or I can't make it. Your guest answers from any phone or laptop with nothing to download and nothing to sign up for, and changes the reply any time from the same link.

The shape of the evening

Your note sits beneath the venue in an italic serif, and your agenda follows line by line, so every guest knows when to arrive and what happens next.

The questions a table needs

Ask, and each guest tells you anything they cannot eat and how many people they are bringing, with room for a short note such as "arriving Friday evening".

The room taking shape

Guests see the names of the people who have already said yes, or just the count if you prefer, so everyone watches the table fill as the replies come in.

A link that unfurls beautifully

Paste an invitation into a group text and it opens as a card with the gathering's name, dates and venue, plus the guest count when it fits.

For you, the organizer

Everything you run, from one private link.

Creating a gathering gives you an organizer link. It opens the whole roster for that gathering, and it is the only key you need: bookmark it, keep it to yourself, and run every part of the evening from it.

A roster you read at a glance

Confirmed, awaiting a reply, and can't make it, counted at the top, with the total at table once plus-ones are counted. Each unanswered guest shows whether their link has been opened, so you know who has seen it and who deserves a word in person. Company, dietary needs, plus-ones, and each guest's note sit in their own columns.

Updates, in your own voice

The dinner moved to the lodge, the start time shifted, bring a jacket for the terrace. Write the update once and choose who receives it: everyone on the list, only the people coming, or only the people who have not replied. Cachet Invite designs the email and gathers the addresses for your BCC line, refreshed at the moment you copy them, and you send it from your own account so every reply comes straight back to you.

The door list for the night

One printable sheet: everyone coming, their plus-ones, and the total at table, followed by the people who have not replied yet, because people turn up anyway. It prints black on white with a tick box beside every name and the gathering's name across the top.

Re-import, and every reply stays put

Membership changed? Upload the refreshed export. People already on your roster are matched by email address first. A row without an address joins the one person of that name who also has no address on file; anyone else comes in as a new person, and people who share a name are shown together for you to merge. New people join with links of their own, blank fields fill in, and every existing link and reply stays exactly where it was.

Add guests at any point

Import more people from a file into a gathering that is already live, or plan with a short list and grow it as the date firms up. Each new guest receives a personal link the moment they are added.

Your roster, exported

Download the full roster as a CSV from your organizer link whenever you want it: names, email addresses, companies, dietary notes, plus-ones, replies, and notes. It is yours on every plan, ready for your caterer, your venue, or your own records.

Groups that meet again

Your group remembers, gathering after gathering.

The gatherings worth hosting happen again. Turn any gathering's roster into a group with one click, and your next gathering starts from those people instead of a blank page: the guest list arrives already filled in, and you change the date and the note.

People, carried forward

Names, email addresses, companies, dietary notes, and whatever you want to remember about each person, kept in one table you edit in place. Companies and your dietary notes travel into every future gathering; what you want to remember stays beside each person on the group page.

Answers that fill themselves in

When a guest tells an invitation what they cannot eat, the group remembers it for every later gathering, and the guest can correct it from any invitation. Your own note sits beside it, seen only by you, and neither one overwrites the other.

Who comes, at a glance

The group page lays out each member across your most recent gatherings with a running total, such as "3 of 4". It is taken from the gatherings themselves, so it always matches the replies people actually sent.

Add people to the group from a file at any time, export the whole group as a CSV whenever you like, and plan the next gathering straight from the roster. The annual plan covers one forum or board with unlimited gatherings, so the group's memory grows every time it meets.

Settle the date together

Agree on the date first, with the whole group.

For a group of busy people, the date is often the hardest part of the invitation. Link a Cachet Coordinate page from Cachet Calendar to your gathering and every invitation carries it: members add their availability, and the group converges on a time together.

While the group decides, your dates line can read "being negotiated" and everything else on the invitation is ready: the venue, your note, the agenda, and the questions for each guest. Your organizer view keeps the Coordinate link one click away, and so does every guest's invitation, so the people you most need in the room help pick the evening that works for them.

Built for

Built for the gatherings you host every season.

Cachet Invite is shaped for recurring, invitation-only gatherings of roughly 20 to 150 people, where the same faces return and the details about them matter.

Forums

The peer forum and its retreats

When your forum meets monthly and travels together twice a year, the group carries every member's dietary notes from one meeting to the next, and the attendance history shows who has been at the table across your four most recent gatherings.

Boards

Board dinners and advisory councils

When a dinner follows every board meeting, each director gets a personal invitation in your name, and the door list on the night has every spouse and guest counted.

Supper clubs

The supper club that never skips a month

When the host changes but the members do not, the roster and everyone's preferences stay in one group, ready for whoever is cooking next.

Alumni

Alumni and class dinners

When the list comes from a school's association software, import the export as it is, confirm the columns, and every one of 140 guests has a personal invitation link ready to send from your own email.

Retreats

Off-sites and weekend retreats

When the weekend has a shape, the agenda sits on every invitation, the plus-ones are counted for the rooms, and an update reaches only the people coming when the shuttle time changes.

Chapters

Member organizations and chapters

When a chapter hosts the same members season after season, the group remembers who comes, what they eat, and what you wanted to ask them last time.

  • When you need the headcount by Thursday: send an update to only the people who have not replied.
  • When the caterer asks about allergies: export the roster with every dietary note beside each name.
  • When the venue moves two days out: one update, to everyone coming, from your own account.
  • When a member shares the invitation: it unfurls as a card with the name, dates, and venue.
  • When membership turns over in January: re-import the new export, and every reply already given stays.
  • When the doors open: a printed door list, plus-ones and the total at table included.

Privacy

Privacy built into every link.

A guest list is a list of people who trusted you with their name and their table. Cachet Invite keeps each part of it exactly where it belongs.

One link, one invitation

Each guest's link resolves inside a single gathering and opens only that guest's invitation. Your organizer link opens that gathering's roster, and a group's link opens that group, each on its own.

Previews carry the essentials

The link preview card a gathering generates shows its name, dates and venue, with the guest count when it fits (or only the Cachet Invite card, if you choose), because link previews are fetched by services that hold no key. Names on the guest list stay on the guest list.

Guests are told, plainly

Every invitation tells the guest that you can see they opened it, so you know it reached them. The first open is recorded once, and later visits leave that record unchanged.

Updates on the guest's terms

From their invitation, any guest can ask to stop receiving updates about that gathering. They stay on your roster and in your counts, and they are left out of every audience you choose, including everyone.

Analytics that count steps

Usage is measured with page views and a closed list of step names, such as an invitation opened or a reply given. Every address is reduced to its route shape and the page title dropped before anything leaves the browser, and Do Not Track is respected.

Your list stays yours

We never sell your guest list. Export the whole roster as a CSV whenever you like, on every plan, and take it anywhere.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Do my guests need an account or an app to reply?

Your guests open their own invitation from the link you send and answer in one tap, from any phone or laptop. There is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for, and they can change their reply any time from the same link.

Which guest lists can I import?

Any CSV or tab-separated file, including a Google Sheet or Excel workbook saved as CSV: from Luma, Eventbrite, your association software, or a CRM. Cachet Invite proposes what each column holds, shows you your own rows read that way, and creates nothing until you confirm every column.

What happens when I import a refreshed list later?

People already on your roster are matched by email address first. A row without an address joins the one person of that name who also has no address on file; anyone else comes in as a new person, and people who share a name are shown together for you to merge. New people are added, blank fields fill in, and every existing invitation link and reply stays exactly as it was.

How do my guests receive their invitations?

Every guest has a personal link. You send it from your own email or messages, in your own voice. For email, Cachet Invite prepares a designed invitation email for each guest that you copy and paste into Gmail or Apple Mail, so the invitation arrives from you and replies come straight back to you.

How do I tell everyone the venue moved?

Open Send an update from your organizer link, write the message once, and choose the audience: everyone on the list, only the people coming, or only the people who have not replied. Cachet Invite designs the email and gathers the addresses for your BCC line, refreshed at the moment you copy them.

What does a group remember?

Each person's name, email address, company, dietary notes, and anything you want to remember about them, plus who said yes to each of your recent gatherings. When a guest answers a dietary question on an invitation, that answer is kept in their record in the group, beside your own note, and the guest can correct it from any later invitation.

How large can a group be?

A group roster holds up to 300 people. Per-gathering pricing covers gatherings of up to 50 or up to 150 guests, and the annual plan covers one recurring group with unlimited gatherings.

How does date negotiation work?

Create a Cachet Coordinate page on Cachet Calendar and paste its link into your gathering. Every invitation then carries it: members add their availability and the group settles on a time together, while the rest of the invitation is ready to go.

Who can see my guest list?

You, through your private organizer link. Each guest sees their own invitation and, as you choose, the names of the people who have said yes, just the count, or nothing. A gathering's link preview card carries only its name, dates and venue, with the guest count when it fits, or just the Cachet Invite card if you prefer.

Can I take my data with me?

Yes. Export the full roster of any gathering, or of a whole group, as a CSV at any moment from your organizer link, on every plan.

What does it cost?

$199 per gathering for up to 50 people, $399 for up to 150, or $999 per year for a recurring group: unlimited gatherings, one forum or board, with the roster and every preference carried across events.

Does it suit a single gathering as well as a recurring one?

Yes. A one-time dinner or retreat uses per-gathering pricing and gets the full invitation, replies, updates, door list, and export. If the group meets again, one click turns that roster into a group that remembers it.

Your next gathering

Start from the list you already have.

Import your export, write your note, and send every guest an invitation with their name on it. The replies, the dietary notes, and the headcount arrive on one page, and your group remembers all of it for next season.
